The Navalny memorial at the Wall of Grief is makeshift.
People are paying tribute to him there because the wall is a monument to Stalin era political persecution and Putin is basically doing the same shit.

There being a bigger asshole doesn't make an asshole a saint. I don't buy Navalny's 180 on his nationalist, islamophobe, and homophobe stances. And no liberal Russian I know (quite a few) does either. The western narrative of "Putin bad, Navalny against Putin, so Navalny good" is really strange. Given the chance Navalny could have been the next Hitler. Have you ever watched/listened to the stuff that guy said?
