It's ok to give your pet modern metropolitan city another lane of traffic every once in a while, as a treat.
Well there's your problem. There's not enough road.
Toronto, Ontario, Canada has the 401 with 16 lanes, hell, it might even be 20 now, and it's often declared the worst highway in the world for traffic. Yet they keep adding more lanes...
