Wow this is huge. They open the door, and others might follow.
Finally! Hoping for more in the future
Sooner or later Google has to accept that JPEG-XL is the future!
I thought the whole point of raw sensor files was that the processing happens after the fact and can be tweaked by the photographer. JXL compresses the file defeating the whole point raw sensor files.
How can I test it out?
