Went with random creation. Unfortunately I skipped over the slider customizations. Stuck with a male character. Though the height slider was already cranked up.
Tried to go for a melee build, but stats favored int. So, I've been going with a Netrunner build (IT).
Have you tried the comic relief character? If you get good at it, you can sometimes get re-rolls on failing checks. This rarely helps with combat, though, so be careful.
I actually speed ran some of the tutorial. Turns out you don't actually need all that much out of the 2nd grade level. Makes the college stage a little trickier because people unlock drinking before you but otherwise it was helpful
I failed at a lot of things that most people succeed at. In dealing with the aftermath of those failures, I have built competencies most people don’t have.
Spent way more time experimenting with the chems and social mechanics than most people. Switched class three times so I'm getting close to the level cap but haven't unlocked much endgame content.
I would say that there is a difference in strongly narrative games where you're playing mostly for the story (i.e. things like Baldur's Gate) and games where the story helps build an engaging world (i.e. good MMOs)... Life is an almost entirely narrative experience, it's good to avoid poverty and the like but there is no scoring system at the end that matters... Money, Power, Accolades, (meaningless) Children - they mean nothing. At the end of your life the only persistent value you should care about is how your life impacted others.
Did you ruin the days or lives of others? Did you help others live good lives and write positive stories of their own? That's fucking it.
When playing a board game with my friends I, personally, love to be a villain because it makes a fun story to get lost in for an afternoon... But I would never choose to purposefully put another person through unnecessary strife.
Ed: I revised "Children" to "(meaningless) Children" because some people treat reproduction like a goal and parent dozens of neglected children and that's what I wanted to call out. If you decide to become a parent and help your child to have a wonderful life that's obviously a fucking awesome thing - but you can have relationships like that even without physically reproducing.
I am not proficient in deception and perception, bringing me into unique scenarios that force my creativity. Also forgot to choose the right beard option in character selection.
I have both put my penis in a vagina and had a penis put in my vagina before
Did you roll and get both or did you mod?
Mod, I wasn't that lucky unfortunately :(
Oh was gonna ask if it was too many pancakes
Which was better?
Definitely the latter for me, but I had hangups with the former so it's probably not an entirely fair comparison
Fair point. It's a pretty stupid question, having thought about it for more than 5 seconds by now.
but have you had enough pancakes

Hello fellow netrunner
I've built my own 3 slide toaster.
Huge
Sometimes I feel I'm just an NPC...
My character for some reason gets extremely happy when there is either cats or coffee around 🤷
How very unique of you
That was kind of mean and unnecessary.
it was kind of mean, but also a little funny
Mean but necessary.
That was kind of childish and busybodied.
I keep a consistently low health bar. Wouldn't want to get too op.
Because the hardcore difficulty isn't enough already lmao
I rolled all ones on my character creation and just went with it.

My man, you've been through a lot of difficult quests. You are at level 10000 🫡
Sounds like your difficulty settings are glitched. I'd recommend having a word with the devs but they don't tend to respond to user requests.
Chose to make him happy and content
Shiet I lost the game
I went into console commands and forced my charisma to 0.
Create a fantasy world based on multiversal shenanigans and have a relatively healthy RP server to show for it
Also +20 to cold resist
There are way fewer pit traps with spikes than I was led to believe.
I took all the negative traits but forgot the positive ones.
Scrotal biectomy mod

I pulled aggro from the Hulk (Lou Ferrigno) and didn’t die

That I understand more than most people seem to.
Invested skill points into niche, near useles perks for interesting game play (I can hand sharpen toenail clippers and hand stitch a file)
Also was made fun of and insulted for failing the education quest line, while I was oblivious that my game is set to hard mode (ADHD).
Actually Nightmare mode is more fitting (also a "gifted" child)

Starting stats 🧬
What is it then?
It's just a story, enjoy it while it lasts and don't be a villain in anyone else's story.
Don't you enjoy games while they last and in most games try to be "not a villain" as well? :D
Games also most often tell a story through their gameplay.
