Andromeda galaxy, second try with basic camera equipment [OC]
This is my second try at the Andromeda galaxy. This image is shot with an ordinary camera and lens, though the work behind the image is much more than point and shot. The total exposure time is a bit more than 2 hours. For anyone interested in the workflow and equipment:
- Samyang 135mm f2.0 lens
- Fuji XT-5
- 410 images shot @20s exposure time
- calibrated and stacked in Siril
- background extraction with GraXpert
- star removal with Starnet++
- stretched in Siril with GHST and levels in PS
- final editing, star recomposition and cropping in PS

Very cool, but star removal?
Star removal helps to edit the stars and the galaxy separately. At the end I added them back in
