They’re both bad for society, just in different ways, and it’s different enough to distract from the message of the meme. I’m pretty sure most of us would argue that billionaires are worse than snake oil salesmen due to their wide reaching impact, but regardless, straightforward messaging is necessary to avoid things like this. Pedantry or not, most people would probably have the same reaction because it’s inconsistent. They’re both profit obsessed bad people, but so is a dirty car salesman or the mafia.
