Sent the three site admins PMs about the new accounts and communities around 10 minutes after /crappy account was created. Had already made over 400 communities in that timeframe.
Well aware. I believe one of the admins is taking care of it rn. u/fuck u/LollaCatt and u/crappy are the three I've seen so far spamming community creation calls.
This is precisely why we have disabled unsupervised community creation and have instead have users submit a request. Highly recommended.
That and a limit of 3 per user per day seem rational.
Maybe it could be per IP, so that way someone can't make a bunch of alts to circumvent the limit.
Maybe account needs to be a week old?

what do those translate into (from hex, I presume)?
They're probably just chunks of uuids. Not meaningful, just easy to generate programmatically and valid as community names.
