I can't say for your area but some people on bikes will act like the road rules don't apply to them and zoom past red lights and intersections and don't bother looking for cars...

And yes. Theres been accidents, I don't know about fatalities but honestly some people don't care and need to be forced to pay attention

In India, cyclists make their way on footpaths, and a lot of people think that cyclists have similar rights as pedestrians.

Little do they understand that it's because of the attitude of cyclists that cities impound cycles.
