Happy I had to fire one less person today
I work in HR and recently we have been laying off under performing developers. Needless to say it’s not easy to tell someone they no longer have a job.
Anyway there was this one guy who I was to give the bad news. Fortunately before I could even summon him, he came to me to offer me his letter of resignation.
He explained to me that he was not cut out for this job and he had been planning on leaving for a while. He joint right after college but had really no interest. His dad had apparently got him the job through some connection but he had no interest in it . I praise his self awareness, a lot of people work as if they are entitled to a job. I respect that he knew he wasn’t offering the value that was expected of him and owned up for his shortcomings.
Happy I didn’t have to be the bearer of bad news, at least this one time.

Wow dude that sounds a real unprofessional attitude. Clearly they didn't care enough about the parts, wonder why they made such a scene about it. Pisses me off wondering why employers cant have a bit of respect for employees (even if they are no longer employed). It costs nothing but goes a long way.
