App update - The community driven one || 0.0.55

Thanks for tuning in to this edition of app update. And an even bigger thanks to all those who have driven development on here in the right direction.

We really appreciate you spending your time on our app while we figure out our business model through iterations, failures and pivots.

Google and apple should have automatically updated you to the latest version. If not, please find the play store link here.

And apple testflight link here.

Feature releases 🚀

👉 Post UI overhaul. This was by far the most requested fix. Posts now have a different gradient. Making it easier to distinguish. Text posts at present retain the same look. Drop your comment if you think that needs to change as well... As suggested by @iluko @sd69_rebirth @mrmiyamoto @eyesofgod @k37 @uplusion23 @milozz @ziggs

👉 Image zoom. The instagram zoom looks cool and all but reddit users aren't the same as Instagram ones. We wanna be able to open up an image and stare at every pixel without having to maintain the zoom manually. You can now tap images and they will open up seperately so you can manipulate it as required. The instagram zoom is also available by default cause why not. As suggested by @freedoms99 @razvantheonly

👉Comments by the OP now have tags that identify them as such As suggested by @crazy_kat_lady

Bug fixes 🔧

👉 Sorting by hot and top now shows a coming soon pop up instead of doing nothing. As suggested by @caspase

👉Annoying comment highlighting when pressing comments has been removed As suggested by @eyesofgod

👉Fontsize and general UI elements have been reduced. Posts also have a maximum size in order to fit more, if you wanna zoom in just tap on the image or go full-screen for a video. As suggested by @stormod @kcvis

Lots more things to work on, thank you everyone for helping us make this place worth it.

Also a shoutout to @onrir for the logo and @mormonnomoremon for the in depth feedback. Yes Reddit Alternative will be removed from the name.

Hopefully we'll have more clans in the next 24 hours. Apologies if your feedback did not get implemented yet, we're working round the clock to get everything done.

Until next time, lots more of your feedback to work on...

same.

so many apps will not listen to their userbase (cough reddit cough). It's really nice to see one that does.

I’m sure Reddit started out the same way though, that’s the part that concerns me. Although at this point, I think anyone would do a better job than their CEO. What a dumpster fire.
