Please tell me that isn’t true …
I found this on the news today and I’m shocked:
*Be sporty, earn enough money, be in charge in the relationship - according to a survey, this belongs to the image of masculinity for young men in Germany. It even goes as to the acceptance of violence against women.
Younger people apparently still characterized by traditional role models. According to a survey by the organization Plan International, half of the 18 to 35-year-olds see themselves in a relationship as a "superior" who is in charge. So my not stupid question: is this for real? Please tell me we are better than this.

Is it really shocking? I think a vast majority of liberals tend to be within their social bubbles so they don't get exposed so often to the popular sentiment. Mysogeny and the "men in charge" philosophy has been present across cultures and borders. Countries like Saudi Arabia will probably take at least a thousand years to improve. Simply because role of men has been put on a pedestal in their society and it's not something that can be changed easily.
