Just returned from China and realised how far behind we are as a country

America and Europe peaked in the last century. The Chinese cities I saw were far more modern, and infrastructure is probably 10yrs ahead of US. The airports, rail station and even public toilets felt so high tech.

You won't see addicts roaming anywhere, their government makes sure the population is obedient. Amercian media often makes fun of Chinese censorship and lack of freedom, but honestly what good is all that freedom considering all the bad it also does? Look at India, having the world's biggest democracy does not mean shit if 80% of your population controls only 10% of the wealth.

My views may be biased, but I feel India will make up for the last few decades of lost growth in the coming years. But catching up with China is possibly next to impossible. At least not for another 300 years.

They spent billions on infrastructure to keep their population employed and their economy stable. Expect economic trouble in the coming years.

High speed rail that go to unfeasible places, empty cities and a lot of debt. Look it up
