There has been numerous cases filed against "doctors" for allegedly putting an otherwise healthy patient into a clinical condition and declare brain-dead just so they can harvest their organs under the HOTA (Human Organ Transplant Act).
See the issue? When the law automatically lets you proceed with harvesting the organs once the patient is announced brain-dead, doctors can literally make you brain-dead to automatically proceed with their intentions without ever getting prosecuted by the family or government. It has happened before, it is happening and it will happen. That's why organ donation must not be a law but the individual's choice. Even if the family members object to your decision, the organ harvest will be stopped.
