Just curious how do we know spyke social won't go down this path? It's still a small company that loves it's community but even reddit had one of the most beloved dev team.
Reddit had it all, up to the minute news, live threads, celebrity engagement, advertising etc. They had a hold on the porn market on the same site but you had to go find it. Generally people kept everything where it was supposed to be but the company stopped thinking about how to make things better for their users and thought more about how to make more money.
If spyke goes down we'll just find something else again. Nothing is forever.
I've seen this answer so many times.
I think we'll reach social media fatigue at some point if this is the strategy.
For the best.
