I’ve had many “favourites” over the years but KSHMR has been consistently producing bangers. I first heard Jammu and his use of Indian sounds to reflect his Indian roots appealed to me. Multiple bangers later he released “Lion across the field” which solidified his position as my “favourite”.
Songs that changed my life aren't even by my favorite musicians. They just popped up during really emotional times and left a deep impression on me.
One is Noa by Juan Gabriel, doubt anyone has heard off it. I wasn't even a fan of his. But the song is super nostalgic for me, it reminds me of traveling through the country with my parents. The song has kind of taken over all of my road trip memories.
Another honorable mention is New divide by Linkin park. I was obsessed with this song as a teen and would listen to the soundtrack nonstop, even falling asleep with my headphones on.
For me it was Xxxtentacion. He had a significant impact on me growing up. Personally, it was a mix of his music, where you could feel his raw emotions, and how openly he expressed his feelings that made him so relatable. He wasn't shy about discussing the struggles he experienced growing up and always seemed determined to bring motivation and positivity to both his following and those around him.
Sure, he wasn't always the best person, and he had his ups and downs, but overall, he was maturing and evolving into the best version of himself while spreading his knowledge and positivity along the way. His journey served as a source of extreme motivation for me throughout my teen years, mainly because of his openness concerning his emotions and feelings.
I really like you by Carly Rae
Can't belive it'll be almost a decade old soon.
