I'm sure there's better options, but all things considered I think clans is OK as long as it isn't spelled with a K. It's an incredibly common term for groups in MMOs and other online spaces (not to mention games like Clash of Clans), it's really just the current spelling that makes me go 😬

Haha thank god. I trust it was just a cultural difference, but there was no way, as an American, that I could tell me friends about Spyke as long as it was made up of “Klans.” Not a good connotation over here.
