Ionic thrusters are used in space by satellites right now. It needs zero moving parts (except for the gas tank, since it's in space) to get propulsion by generating very little heat.

Cool. Let's see if they might use it in the near future in commercial airliners and stuff.

Yeah, would be a game changer since we already have an atmosphere, so wouldn't need any fuel in cargo.

Oh...I didn't know that it would cost the depletion of the Ozone Layer. I thought it would help reduce the depletion since no fuel is burnt.
