Apple has assembly plants in several countries . They have a quality control and therefore their products are reliable irrespective of where they are made.

Don't worry about it. Even the article you have mentioned says 50% are accepted. So you'll get the ones that are in perfect condition. Plus apple does not build the SOC or anything here. Just the assembly.
