The new AI startup bubble
Our office building has multiple companies working in it. And all the offices share a common cafe... While working ther I saw several groups of engineers with laptops and coding.
They were basically coding (read addicted) with ChatGPT. I found it funny how they all acted experts in AI. Chatgpt this chatgpt that. I was seriously doubting their capability of building something without using the damn AI.
You will see thousands startups that claim they are "cutting edge proprietary AI", while in reality it's just sending prompts to gpt on the backend. Not saying they'll all be useless but there is not way all the thousands of applications will be used cuz they'll all just be "return gpt(prompt)" as their backends.
Great time to make some vc money though🤡👌
