I think it was quite a big deal to the slaves, even at the time.

[Self Promo] My Lemmy client, Bean is now available on TestFlight
This looks great, so polished already!
There's one thing missing that I've noticed a lot of Lemmy clients are missing that I used extensively in reddit clients, and that's the button to skip to the next level comment. It makes long comment threads much nicer to read. Any chance we could get that added?

Fucks sake, that was the only decent way to watch.

Alfa Romeo poster for the Belgian Grand Prix
What year is it? Has AR made a deal with Minecraft or something? As far as I know Minecraft has no connection to Belgium, am I missing something obvious?

Other dev won't follow best practices, is this common?
That’s definitely not senior dev behaviour, was he also involved in defining the best practices? If so he should 100% be following them as an example to other devs, and if he has an issue with individual parts (which is fine) he should discuss with the team about changing them.
Aversion to tests is also a really concerning problem I would say. And you should not have to fix his code in PR, it’s his code!! I’m afraid I don’t have any answers for you but you are right to find this unusual!

On the case of this and Paul Walker I think it’s Ok, it’s productions they were already involved in and it’s avoiding risk to jobs etc. especially in the case of walker where they had has family involved and iirc his brother was the on set actor.

Does this mean the reason he had to pull out in the first place was because he ran out of fuel?

Avelon for Lemmy is now on the App Store!
Love how it looks! Is there any chance of getting a ‘skip to next top level comment’ button that Apollo and other clients have?

Kbin and Lemmy can join together (federate) 😁 a kbin ‘sub’ is called a magazine. For example, you can view the kbin ‘tech’ magazine here: https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
To my knowledge, squabbles is not based on ActivityPub and therefore cannot federate with Lemmy.
As for searching for a kbin magazine from Lemmy, you’ve got me there and I have no idea!

Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds Official Teaser Trailer #1
I was expecting some tongue in cheek remake but no this is the actual thing from the 60s. It was…really entertaining! As someone who’s never actually seen the birds (but knows about it) this trailer had a really creepy undertone the whole way through which I loved.

What would you recommend as a first Apple Watch?
I bought a series 7 when they were on sale at the end of last year, very happy with it and as another commenter said the upgrades are very incremental so it should last a few years.
