Desde hace años que utilizo la versión para Reddit, siendo mi cliente favorito de toda la vida.

Ya configuré todo para que sea idéntico a como tengo mi cliente para Reddit y este post lo estoy escribiendo desde Boost.

Ya me siento como en los viejos tiempos de Mujico, la transición ahora se siente tan suave y placentera como cuando va entrando en un trapo depilado como delfín.

Most apps on the list are lemmy apps, meaning they don't work with kbin. Artemis is specifically designed to work with kbin, not sure if or when any of the other ones will go in that direction or become interoperable as there are some challenges with the kbin API at the moment. Having said that, a new API is in the works so things should get better with time.

This is my plan for my future and first Homelab ever. I don't know what I am doing, LOL.

Well, I know (by my own) about Linux, web servers, local-domestic networks, but this will be my first time putting all together.

What have you got in the post?

My future first attempt at creating labs. Is how I want to go.

What hardware is pictured?

Maybe some Larkbox machines, J4125

Why have you chosen that hardware?

Since I will be able to get a bunch of J4125 MiniPCs and some Raspberry Pis 4 8GB, and because I want everything to be module, portable and removable. If some day I do a trip with my family, just detach the Jellyfin server and the media NAS and put somewhere else. If I go with friends to a friend's house, just detach RetroArch machine and ROM's NAS and plug them into a TV.

How are you planning to configure? What is the setup like?, Software or hardware, high level or low level. If nothing is configured:

Everything is going to be controlled from my main desktop PC: Download movies, music and games and store them into their NAS; save and access files via Netxcloud from PCs.

• Multimedia Server: J4125 MiniPC with Jellyfin
• File Server: J4125 MiniPC with NextCloud
• General Server: J4125 MiniPC with Proxmox or Docker. Inside containers or VMs: Shaarli for bookmarks between devices, DokuWiki for notes, and any other non-heavy and useful apps.

NAS general specs: Raspberry Pis 4 8GB with Radxa Quad and Dual SATA hat, everything managed by Open Media Vault.

• Media NAS since it will be WORM factor, some 2.5" HDDs are fine.
• File NAS since is going to read and write much data, some 3.5" CMR drives are better.
• ROMs NAS will be WORM most of the time, so, less capacity, 2.5" drives are gonig to go.
• Clients: J4125 MiniPC running Kodi and RetroArch standalone each.
• Retro consoles: Raspberry Pi DIY kits, with RetroArch pulling ROMs stored on the NAS.

What are your plans? Future plans? Either hardware and/or software. What do you want to learn or play with?

Custom 3D printed racks and cases for NASes. Maybe a router configured for a detachable mode: NAS--->Router--->Server--->TV

Why are you doing this? What is your drive to do this? How does this tie into your plans?

I want everything to be centralized, something that I can control from my main PC and every data is conected each other frome any device. I want to learn more abot NAS, Networking, Proxmox, RAID and so on in a real use case.

Any comment and feedback is welcomed.

Single, specific-software servers. Only one server will be for different self hosted apps, running on Docker or VMs. (Shaarli, DokuWiki and others).

For LAN-only use. NAT does not bother me.

DIY Retro handhelds, RetroArch J4125, and Windows GOG machine will pull every ROM and installer from de ROM's NAS.

Smartphones will push photos and files to the Files' NAS throuht NextCloud app via NextCloud server.

Since this configurations will be LAN only every sync and backup is going to be from 1:00 am to 5:00 am.

Se están poniendo interesantes otras comunidades, deberíamos de poder de acceder a ellas desde mujico.org

Si llegan nazis bloqueamos esas instancias, pero al menos lemmy.world, beehaw entre otras comunidades están creciendo y se está poniendo interesante.

Hay que hacerlo más intuitivo y vistoso, más ordenado.

Yo le sé al CSS y al HTML pero no he estudiado cómo funciona el front end en Lemmy.
