Any leads on that one?
Probably some weird historical reason. Would indeed be more logical if they spoke Brazilian.

TIL that Turkey asks gay people to provide explicit photos of them to be exempt from military service
But what if I get pegged by my gf? Does that count?

[Video] Dutch man arrested for holding up "Never Again Is Now" sign during moment of silence at Holocaust Remembrance
Reply in thread
Article 430. He wasn't even arrested he was just asked to move to the designated area for protesting, after the minute of silence ended.

The EU is not fighting fossil fuels, only emissions, Von der Leyen says ahead of G20 | Euractiv
I agree with this. Reducing emissions is more important than focusing solely on transitioning away from fossil fuels. We need to reduce our footprint, not increase it because transitioning away will only become harder.

I completely understand and agree with sentiment of holding the sign. But I'm a bit conflicted about this since I don't feel like this is the moment to do it.
For context once a year we have a day for Remembrance of the Dead. This particular moment is 1 minute of silence at 20:00 that the entire country holds for this.
In the ceremony that proceeds they usually also mention the people that lost their lives in different wars across the globe which probably includes Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and more.
So yes I think our government should do more against Israel, but I'm conflicted about this time and place.
