Help getting my postmarketOS phone attached to a router?

I have a OnePlus5T that runs PostmarketOS (console, no GUI). I use pmbootstrap to flash the image and it serves me well for the most part. To make the internet connection more stable, I wish to connect the phone to the router using an Ethernet adapter.

I have borrowed a Porttonics Ethernet 8in1 adapter and works well on other stock android phones. I can use ethernet nicely and surf sites on those phones

I seem to be unable to do this with Postmarket OS. Based on what i have read, I think the kernel needs to be tweaked so it can connect and work with the router. Does anyone know how to do this?

(This is my second post on this topic. Apologies).

Any nice playbook or tutorial to host a static website from home?

I wanted to know if there was a neat playbook or tutorial set that one can refer to if they're trying to set up their own static website from home?

So far I have done the following:

  1. Got a raspberypi (Raspberry Pi 2 Zero W) and raspberrypi OS installed with fail2ban ready.
  2. Installed nginx (I have not configured anything there).
  3. Written the HTML and CSS files for the website.
  4. Purchased a domain.

How do I complete the remain pieces of this puzzle?

My purpose: I want an online profile that I can share with my colleagues and clients instead of relying on LinkedIn as a way to connect. Eventually, I will stop posting on LinkedIn and make this my main method of relaying information and disseminating my works and services.

Domain registrars ask a bit too much info, right?

I am in the EU and wanted to buy my first domain here. I wanted to play around with making a website, hosting etc.

So I went to sites like Netim, namecheap, and porkbun. I found that they ask for my name, phone number, and address.

I'm not sure if I can make crap up there and register. I am using a temporary digital /virtual card, so I won't have too much trouble on that front.
