I just use it all the time when I forget what I changed and want to make sure I’m ok with all changes before saving.
It is very similar to a command in emacs called M-x diff-buffer-with-file.

Why are relative numbered movements not added to jumplist by default??
because ‘j’ isn’t a jump motion (:h jump-motions). Even with a count before it, while it acts like a ‘jump’, it’s only a modifier to multiply ‘j’ [count] times

project-local init.lua
what about using exrc (with like a .nvim.lua file inside the repos) with the content of
dofile(“../init.lua”)
-- maybe more repo specific config here
and then say ~/work-clientA/init.lua with all client specific changes there.
this would still require creating two separate files but the client setup will be the same for all client repos, and additionally you can add repo specific changes.

doubt it’ll be anything more than a soft fork, but hey, some people really don’t want AI in their editor.

please don't attack the few useful tools that came out of this: machine translation, computer vision and text to speech all made leaps forward and made the internet so much more accessible due to these tools.
Can you show me how these tools came out of pushing AI down our throats? Pretty sure they were well available and in development before the whole “AI” buzzword push.
- Translating other users' comments
Seems to me like what they mean is twisting someone’s words through re-generating / changing intent (accidentally or not), not necessarily translating a language.
For an analogy, your phone/computer/whatever you're using to read this, probably has some parts from dubious places, be it cobalt mines with terrible working environments or whatever. I don't see anyone making a fuss about that, and rejecting commits unless they're made from an ethically sourced machine
Uh, pretty sure there’s plenty of complaints about working conditions in mines etc.
Also, this is just a fork, you are free to use whatever you want. Nobody is forcing you to use this.
I will maybe use it though because I prefer software without AI
