I really want to emphasize what this person above is saying, the police are not there to help you - ever.

Know your rights - Do not invite them to find something on you. Never ever volunteer to be searched, never offer to allow them in your house or your car without a warrant. You have the right to decline to be searched, its the 4th amendment in the bill of rights. You should exercise that right each and every time you interact with the police.

Lots of people say "well if I have nothing to hide, I don't care if I am searched". Knowing and using your rights does not mean or imply you are guilty of anything and don't let anyone trick you into giving up your rights by saying cooperation proves you have nothing to hide.

I like Paradox Interactive and how they work with fans and mod content. They are saying early access isn't happening until next year. So it probably not going to be v 1.0 until 2027 at least. This could have a lot of potential, but its going to take a while.

This one has been my favorite since I was single digits years old.

I used to have this yellow dress that I loved and I am pretty sure I accidentally donated it like 10 or 15 years ago, but every 6 to 10 months or so I still think about that dress.

I think if I am presented with an are you a robot captcha check box every 10 refreshes on lemmy.world for being on a VPN, that is the least we can do for bots.

I said it before and I'll say it again. My father was 5'5" and had 3 wives, all taller than him, and still managed to cheat on all of them. The only thing holding short kings back is themselves.

They do spin, but you have to get her just the right kind of dress that puffs out just right and she'll be spinning in no time. Bonus if the dress also had pockets. She'll smile HUGE, put her hands in the pockets, pull the sides of the skirt out and proudly proclaim it has pockets.

I did a couple things to make my life comfy here.

I changed my default sort to be "new comments" - this gave me the biggest perspective change on Lemmy, I now see where the active conversations are and it makes the place feel more full of people and less pages and pages of empty threads. I also found a lot less political stuff this way, because it gets posted a lot but people only interact with just a few of the political posts, so only those one end up floating to the top. I am finding myself getting less politics this way on Lemmy than I was on reddit. Also has the added bonus of highlighting where the active communities are.

I blocked Lemmy.ml and hexbear. A lot of the wilder leftist stuff comes from them and once it was blocked I saw the amount of politics in my feed drop right away.

Here is my take - They are adding a new metric called "Engaged Views", this is the same metric that a "View" was previously, something like - the person stayed after 30 seconds so they are "engaged". Then they are going to sell ads based on the now inflated view number and use the "Engaged view" metric against creators so they can cut the amount they are paying for monetization.
