Is there a more politically conservative part of the fediverse?

With all due respect, you're very condescending and snobby. You act like you know his beliefs better than he does, that superiority complex looks ugly on you.

You think insulting people for having certain views is going to be helpful in this dialogue? You think mocking someone who's having a conversation with you in good faith is productive?

Grow up, quit being so smug and childish.

It's sad that you're getting down voted for this, because you're absolutely right. These lemmy communities are already turning out to be a left-leaning echo chamber, this thread is a perfect example. Any opinion that differs from the left is blocked or downvoted or argued against endlessly.

OP asks a completely reasonable question in good faith, and hundreds of people come to attack him for thinking differently than they do.

People straight up mock him for no reason. The left loves to paint the right as being hateful, but I'm only seeing the left being hateful on here.

This is what annoys me, a lot of these replies act like there's a hidden agenda to everything. Saying things like, "They must support white supremacy! It's a racist dog whistle! They're a Trump supporter". Their assessments never have any nuance whatsoever: if you put that on your car, you're all of the above.

They have such a condescending attitude and a superiority complex towards anyone who disagrees with them. They just can't help but build this fictional stereotype about people they don't like to vilify them.

It's not wrong to like the American flag. While I'd never put it on my car, I know people who do, and they don't have a single mean bone in their body.

Only the pregnant person and their doctor matter.

They avoided going to a hospital because they didn't want the child, so they gave birth elsewhere. There was no doctor present to give medical advice.

The baby didn't make it because of their negligence, so they burned and buried it.

How in the world could you defend something as gruesome as that? They're monsters.

Dead content revamp

I don't really like how users denote something as "dead content" in this game, because the arguments I've seen just boil down to efficiency.

People call activities that don't provide top-rate EXP per hour, or magnificent rewards dead. A few examples of "dead content" come to mind:

  • LMS: I enjoyed playing this just to see how long I could survive, not because of some rewards or exp I could cash in later on.
  • Burthorpe Games Room: I play this all the time with my partner cause we like playing connect 4 and checkers while we eat dinner.
  • BA: I really enjoy playing this because I love how it incorporates teamwork. The mini game itself is a blast, even though I got the pet and all rewards years ago.

I feel like this kind of efficiency mindset is skewing the trajectory of the game in a negative way. Jagex is being forced to have new content revolve around being "efficient", and reward-centric, and that's not how the Gower brothers intended RuneScape to be when they made it.

What happened to just playing things for the sake of fun? Dead content is only dead if you think it is.

Just my thoughts.
