The game seems simple at first but the timed power ups produce quite the pressure during the gameplay. The graphics are extremely colorful and complex considering the limits of the system.

Super Offroad by Virgin has been ported to a ton of systems. It is one of the few games on the PC that can utilize the full 64 color EGA palette! But this version is for the Sega GameGear. It is quite playable, but the tiny display makes every little mistake a grave punishment. Catching up to the leading car almost impossible. Nevertheless a fun isometric racer that perhaps plays better than Micro Machines on this handheld…?

One of the most influential games of my childhood: the Game of Robot. A German shareware 2D action adventure, maybe? I think this screenshot is of the freeware Robot Junior game, but the mechanics are very similar. You play the green guy in the upper left corner. You can leave each room only once all the robots have been destroyed. And you don’t have any weapons, but an array of items that you can pick up and use.
