My own personal and humble opinion is that the mods running SS are not actually DRS'ed but rather grifting the MOASS through some shorter term strategy.

Worth noting that IRA Financial is probably under-represented in the ledger since they typically transfer a client's shares into the client's LLC.

There should also be additional restrictions on articles that are written by automated software.

Several years before the sneeze, I had a broker sell all my shares (which were in a single company) and close my account, despite my objections and my having that account with them for over two decades. That's probably the main reason I am now DRSed, so I thank them for that :)

It's a good reminder that he identifies with, understands, and supports consumers, and recognizes that people invest their hard earned money into physical video games.

My personal opinion is that GME is undervalued however I don't necessarily expect that to change any time soon. The video you reference contains several errors which this community has discussed in previous threads.

Those are very reasonable (and very conservative) numbers.

Also Mainstar Trust has recently moved all the DRS shares (about 1 million shares total) they hold for people's IRA accounts into the DTCC, so people are probably starting to transfer their shares out of Mainstar and into self-directed IRA LLCs.

Interesting, also looks like they deferred volume on Aug 30 in order to use it on the 31st.

When I think they could just use that money to buy actual GME shares I realize they have probably shorted the float way too many times for that to provide them a reasonable way out.

There was some hypothesizing a while back (on SS and before Lemmy) that the initial drop or flatlining of the DRS trendline was due to hedgies having initially DRSed and then un-DRSed them, but I don't recall if that was ever generally agreed. This was about the time that the Heat Lamp Theory was introduced which seems to have more supporting evidence at this point.
