VPN server on router or within home network?

Hi, looking for some advice to set up a VPN server to get into my home network when traveling.

I have a NAS and an openWRT AP within the network. My router is provided by the ISP and with a built-in VPN. Being a hobbyist in networking, I would like to tab your brains for suggestions and know how:

Should I get my own router to run a wireguard VPN off the router directly, i.e. on the edge of the network, OR run a VPN service off the openWRT AP or the NAS, i.e. from within the home network?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Used thinkpad ok for casual retro gaming?

Hi, want to buy some used hardware to run with Linux (Gnome DE ON Mint, Debian OR ElementaryOS). Mainly Office use, transcoding, but also for casual gaming Half-life 2 and maybe some more modern games.

Are Thinkpads with integrated GPUs sufficient for that? Any nice alternatives which are sturdy and can be upgraded?

TIA!

EDIT: thank you for all the helpful input. Will check AMD options!

HELP! iFlash Gen6 does not recognize Mac Library (or vice versa)

Hi, I have a Gen6 modded with an iFlash solo & a 128 GB SD card. I sync to my Mac-based library, which is managed via the Appe Music app.

Every time I sync, the Mac does not recognize the library and tells me I can only syn the device with one computer at a time.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Which of the two devices stores information about previous syncs?

Thanks!
