I want to explore Linux and coding more, and need recommendations
I've been using Mint for about 5 years now and want to explore the 'nuts and bolts' side of it a bit more
I can use the terminal a bit- copy/paste code to install programmes etc, but I'd like to now understand what the code actually means
Can anyone recommend either a book or online guide to exploring this? Also can any recommendations be geared towards newbie and 'moron' level
If this community isn't the right place let me know and I'll repost elsewhere.....

Here's a really cool article in The Guardian today on Shirley Manson from the band Garbage (my favourite band, and Shirl is an absolute goddess!)
She talks about being a music icon, misogyny and hip replacements..... and they have a new album out!!
I've always loved her no bullshit down to earth approach to life 🤘
Also, it's really weird, but nice having an icon from my youth talking about things like hip replacements, I still think of her (and myself) as being in our 20's and indestructible, when we're now both older, peri and post menopausal, and still rocking out
I'm hoping they tour, I missed the last one
Anyone else her love Shirley and Garbage? Or PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori?

An interesting article in today's Guardian on a new book that re examines his rather dubious reputation....
....driven by all the new material that began appearing in 2019, which coincided with the reopening of the debate about Gauguin’s troubling reputation. It seemed important to re-examine his life: not to condemn, not to excuse, but simply to shed new light on the man and the myth.
