On my last trip I stayed at an apartment and one evening I just wanted to watch an episode on the TV mounted near the bed. I was asking how I get may laptop (MacBook Air M4 2025, I had with me because I've worked the last week of the trip) to the TV. I travel #onebag and minimalistic, so I have a 2m long USB-C cable and don't want to carry much more. I thought about getting a USB-C to HDMI Adapter https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B0D45FK6B4 ( sorry for Amazon link. Could not find it anywhere else) to even connect my Pixel 9 to a TV. Does any1 has experience with such a setup? Any downsides?

I believe it's a way away from consumerism if you don't own everything yourself and share things with people nearby.

I'm looking for a selfhostable (docker-compose) project where everybody can easily add items (maybe with a link to a manual) and the borrowing stuff is manged.

OIDC is a plus because it's to great with pocket-id.

Hi, i'm looking for a VPN that:

• is easily deployable via a docker-compose
• has an Android App and it doesn't drain the battery too much
• hides as regular HTTPS traffic so it's not blockable by Firewalls. (I don't need strong censorship resistance; it just has to work in offices and hotel WiFis.)
• Bonus: A server like caddy can also accept HTTPS traffic for some regular websites next to the VPN server.

Hi, i try to login to the Thunder app from IzzyOnDroid F-Droid (v0.8.2) with this account. After Entering the credentials (with TOTP) i only get a strang "error":"no_id_given" json-error.
