I live in the area and the streets are just clogged with these fucking autonomous cars. Traffic is slower, people end up having to swerve, it's just a constant persistent headache. If I had it my way, they'd all be off the streets and into the crusher

Tell me about it! After year of estrogen I had to give away all my old pants and now I never have anywhere to put my phone!

At first I was excited, not because of the desktop environment itself, but rather because of the headache pain points in gnome and KDE that it sought to fix. Things like fractional scaling and native HDR support as well as being built around Wayland all played to cosmics benefit. Unfortunately for cosmic, however, KDE has really improved quite drastically this past year and fixed pretty much every pain point I had with it. They seem to be shaping up to blow cosmic out of the water before it even arrives with plasma six. Gnome is doing gnome and by that I mean they fucked off and are doing their own stupid thing. I hope cosmic does well, but it would have to be the third coming of Jesus Christ to get me to switch again

Hi there, I'm interested in becoming a mod because I run a bunch of events on 196s discord server, as well as run the 195 community here on lemmy as the sole moderator. 195 was originally 196 before this version was created, and has nearly as many active users. I also have a little bit of prior experience moderating on other websites like reddit and discord. (I'm also very much not a tankie) thanks!

thank you. And god, yes. I'm glad to be out of that space.
Horrid vibes. Not sure why, but it reminds me of my 2016 stint on devientart

On Reddit, 195 was the original and 196 was the sequel after 195 closed. Here on lemmy, this was the original 196 alternative, but one opened up on blahaj.zone and it's like three times as popular at this point, so I renamed this community to 195 to remain distinct and also to be a homage to the Reddit community that started it all. Tldr: same style content, different communities

fuck it you're in

Lmao true. I don't want any sort of controversy, and if things naturally don't shake out in this 196s favour I'm not going to throw some sort of hissy fit. This post is only meant to avoid confusion, not to stur up conflict

??????? this is a joke about how projesterone, a hormone that I and many other trans women take, makes you horny.

I'm really not liking how your group seems dead set on misinterpreting everything I say to the point of seeming absurd to an outside observer.

any and all terfs from threads or otherwise will be banned. if threads is added as a federated instance, we will simply add them to our list of probation instances in the rules alongside lemmygrad and hexbear. in addition, the way we run our community does not count as enforcing a narrative. because that rule does not apply to us, we do not have to deal with it.

It's basically a queer-friendly shit posting community

Just wanted to chime in and say this was legitimately written by the entire mod team in a group google doc. This is not me using the royal we.

We are in dire need of /c/JustUnSubbed

I agree 100%. Goblinhog could say the new r/196 is on Pinterest and I'd follow wholeheartedly

That's the spirit!

Use infinity for lemmy or sync for lemmy! Syncs's on the play store, infinity is here: https://codeberg.org/Bazsalanszky/Infinity-For-Lemmy/releases

I posted an announcement, but I think the mods are gonna go down with the ship

The pixel 5a. Not only does it have a headphone jack, it also has a giant battery and decent specs. Excellent lineageOS support to boot. you can get them brand new OEM unlocked for about 200 bucks. (I might be biased I'm sending this message from one right now!)

gnome rule I daily drove gnome for a while until I got a computer with a 1440p screen, then I had to switch to KDE for functioning fractional scaling

GEE WILLIKERS
