I have to agree. There’s a real housing crisis in Guelph, especially first years. Taking a spot when you live in the city and can easily commute takes a spot from someone else who doesn’t have the option to commute. At its peak the housing waitlist was 1356 I believe, mostly first years. Parents had a hard time finding off campus housing and many had to go elsewhere. I wouldn’t expect TBP to care about that though. Ideally they would just have enough residence spots for everyone though but apparently can’t count on Guelph to care about that either.

Bragging in stories today about how she sponsors one kid a year to go to Disneyland. I looked it up and it’s 1,000.00. Now I get that can be a lot for some people but def not to someone like her, not to mention the tax credit she receives from donations.

As someone who has worked in many kindergarten and elementary classrooms this happens all the time. It does not mean she’s anything special 🙄 Some kids attach easily and want that/need that positive reinforcements from the adults more than others. Sweet, yes but she seems to take it as a glowing review of her character 🙄

Tuition is about the same here. Residence looks like 6500-11,000 at Guelph depending on the room type. On top of that you also have to buy a mandatory meal plan for most residences (I think there are 1 or 2 you don’t need to because they have shared kitchens). Tuition is about 8000 but from my understanding that would be waived in this case as she has a parent who works at the University.

But she’s a professional movie reviewer now and she couldn’t have done it without US! Like seriously, I doubt this has anything to do with your lame reviews lol

I was thinking the EXACT same thing but was too lazy to go back and check timestamps! At the very least, she would have already applied by then. Also Studio Arts at that particular school is a program that requires no portfolio so technically even inexperienced artists have a shot as well to work on their skill.
