Galaxy completionism

This week Galaxy's completion tick system has registered for me it's exciting consequences.

There's no obvious way to gain bragging points with it, although I doubt making it up as one goes along will be in too short supply. Having a list like this is a new experience

It is a beautiful list... you could have 100 tabs open and not be doing the work this one page does

So how many of galaxy's games do you have, practically on the verge of completion? That you may have left in frustration, but now, sitting on the ivory list, seem rather pitiable? I ask myself the same thing.

playing Shgabb clicker

Shgabb clicker was just released on Galaxy and I have things to say [positive], It off the bat seemed removed from my idea of a clicker game just clicking a lot. The first new feature is sandwiches that have a countdown after which you are punished. Usually you are not punished in incrementals or at least not unnecessarily, ie there is always a reward attached. However punishments that use idling as a factor are weird, because the reward comes before the punishment. Once you are conscious of this punishment you can avoid or otherwise take the reward normally, but it means making a mistake gets you punished which is maybe worse. all this to say punishment shocking seaked up on me in this game in a way that seems normal and has me wondering. I like that there is a prestige, similar to how I get really excited but eventually have to prestige. Have been playing various other games and wonder about the sometimes diminishing will to keep playing just to see what upgrades say due to an increasing sense of it as formulaic. Maybe paradigm shifts are important in that way as opposed to just prestige, as a paradigm shift truly moves you away from something. whereas trying to replay or idle something doesn't have the same torn away feeling. It also builds a prior part of the game to re reference, so having lots of paradigm shifts is an important if risky move and knowing how to manage your prestiges is perhaps what mitigates that risk. this game does a good job
