How do you say SUSE?
Back in the days when it was first released, I'm sure I read that it should be pronounced "Susie". That's the way I've always said it.

Lets see. Debian since 1997... so 26 years. Back then you had to order 12 CDs through the post.

Another quick trip with my Miyoo Mini!
It's amazing to be able to carry around a huge catalogue of retro games in such a convenient form-factor.
What are you playing while on your trip?

I hear a lot said about the Dragon Ball games, but I've never actually played one myself. Would someone unfamiliar with the mangas get a lot out of them?
I'm always curious about how people use their retro-gaming devices. Do you stick with games from your past, or have you found some previously unknown gems? For instance, I love the fact that I can replay the Metroid games, up to Fusion on the GBA, but I've also discovered that I thoroughly enjoy 1942 (Arcade) and its sequels.

Love the 351m
The RG351M really does feel like a premium version of the RG351P. Very robust and great for GBA games.
Do you have custom firmware installed?

3D-printed Case for the Anbernic RG351P/M
Welcome Gorroth!
Nicely designed case. Looks very rugged. On behalf of the community, thank you for making the print files available for free.

I agree with you about Nintendo's handling of the situation. They had the opportunity to embrace the product of the community's love for Metroid. Instead, they tried to smother it.
I have played Dread and I would say it's the best 2D Metroid. If you can find a used version for sale, it may be worth checking out.

Well, I think you would be fine going blind as...
Sounds as if it may be worth giving a try sometime.
I do both, usually I re play old classics when I don’t want to think too much or I only have too little time to play to not being able to process stuff 😅
Have you also had been able to play some games that you always wanted to as a child, but couldn't, for whatever reason?

GarlicOS failure

Glad to hear you got it sorted and that it was just software.
Now would be a good opportunity to make a backup of the GarlicOS card you just made. See our guide if you need some tips.

Which syllable gets the emphasis in the name "Anbernic"?

That's not one I predicted. If we find consensus around this pronunciation, I'll eat my........ lunch.

What are you playing?
I've been playing PICO-8 games just recently. Mostly for the purposes of testing compatibility.
Compatibility and performance are good but not perfect. Many of the games are so much fun.
Pictured is Bap the Ball Dragon. Real Mario Bros. vibes.

Onion OS V4.3.0 has been released
Reply in thread
I agree. It is absolutely crazy to think that the Miyoo Mini can handle the DS. In other good news, with ArkOS installed, your RG351V can also play DS games; other custom firmwares may also be able to do so but I haven't tried with them.

Has anyone not installed Onion OS on their Miyoo Mini or Mini Plus?

Just looked at Koriki for the first time in a while. Seems to be maturing nicely.
I'm a fan of SimpleMenu on the Anbernic RG280V (with the Adam firmware) so I can see the appeal. I might just make a Koriki SD card to compare it with Onion.
As a Zelda fan, I keep reading it as "Kokiri"...

Koriki for RG35XX Beta 0.8 has been released.
Nice. The Retro Handheld Guides article is really informative. This firmware has a lot of potential.

I look forward to it.
I would suggest creating it as an article. If you create it as a post, it will appear in the Microblog section rather than the Threads section.

I also remember the joy(!) of trying to work out which CD-ROM to insert for the package I wanted to install. Mostly trial and error.

RG35XX Port of AM2R Koriki Beta 0.7.1 (Another Metroid 2 Remake)
Reply in thread
This runs on the Anbernic RG35XX. If and when you have one, you will need to have the Koriki custom firmware running on the device - https://github.com/rg35xx-cfw/Koriki/releases
You can find a download, and instructions, for the AM2R port package at this link: https://github.com/JohnnyonFlame/droidports/releases/tag/am2r_rg35xx_v0.2
You'll have to find your own copy of AM2R_11.zip.
Also note that the download instructions say you need Batocera. You don't. Instead, install Koriki as linked above.
