The funniest part is they found jannies on there that registered with .edu and .gov email addresses.

Yeah some of the dox are posted on screenshots on the fediverse. It’s now coming out there were no .gov addresses but plenty of .edu.

There’s a long thread on the fediverse but I don’t think anyone would be able to see the contents if I posted it.

I think it’s pretty cool from a historic stand point.

Back in the early 70s a guy named Jon Draper figured out that a toy whistle that came in a box of Captain Crunch cereal was the perfect frequency to initiate free long distance phone calls when blown into a phone.

Sometime after that people realized they could build an electronic device that could produce that frequency and two guys started building them and made a decent amount of money off it: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak before they started Apple Computers. So Apple Computers’ startup was funded in a large part by Phone Phreaking devices.

I think the DIY chiclet keyboards aren’t popular is because working with the scissor switches is a pain in the ass. I’ve never seen one either and I don’t know about foldable keyboards for phone.

I recently read a post about something like this OS a few days ago for old Apple PowerBooks to get some use out of them as a minimalist writing device. I would t have any use for it but it’s a nice way to recycle an older laptop if you’re a writer.
