Still ironic though that Epic games is the main proponent, but yet they do the exact same thing on their store paying for exclusives.

CPU is pretty much irrelevant to GPU choice.

Personally I wouldn’t buy any recent intel CPU with the dishonesty and major flaws in their products as of late, but that’s up to you to decide - AMD’s most recent CPUs haven’t been amazing either, but don’t have hardware flaws at least.

Proton existed long before the Steam Deck, and before that as DXVK.

This is a battle between closed proprietary OS and open source. Proton enables translating DirectX/Windows APIs not only to Vulkan/Linux x86, but even to ARM and BSD.

Steam isn’t a monopoly.

The PC is an open platform, you can use any game store or launcher you want - unlike the iPhone, Android (without sideloading), PlayStation, switch, or Xbox.

All of which were 100% profit-driven, and conveniently ignoring Epic’s many sins not limited to the one I personally despise him the most for: killing the Linux and Mac builds of rocket league. Epic bought the studio and nuked the Linux version, no apology.

In fairness they’re not the same thing - recall records everything you do making a nice single honeypot of all your actions. Apple’s thing is really just a search bar that can reach into apps like email, calendar, etc - it’s not recording your bank logins. Google Play Services tracks everything you do on Android and sells it to advertisers.

Need to know, are you trying to access at home on the same WiFi network or outside your house on cellular?

Have you set up a reverse proxy or done any port forwarding?
