Noob question: How can you tell a bot is a bot? What am I looking for? A little B next to the username or something?

Correct.

It's also a good idea to name bots something that makes the bot's purpose obvious.

Alone under the cold light of stars

"Did you see that? As the dove emerged from the hat, the corner of Freminet's mouth turned up very slightly. Imagine how he'd react if we could find a way to make a whole flock of them fly out! After all, as his big brother, it's my duty to make him laugh."
— Lyney winked as he discussed with Lynette after a rehearsal.

◆ Yearning for Unseen Depths
◆ Renowned Diver of the Court of Fontaine
◆ Cryo
◆ Automaton

As the realm of Hydro, Fontaine's underwater vistas are positively breathtaking. But not everyone gets to enjoy this mysterious world beneath the waves. Even for those who have mastered the basics, diving can be full of peril to say the least. Among the ranks of able divers, Freminet is renowned for his outstanding professionalism, exceptional ability to stay focused, as well as his abundant maritime knowledge. It's just a shame that, as a classic lone wolf, he never accepts commissions from others.

As the younger brother of Fontaine's famous magical duo Lyney and Lynette, Freminet prefers to stay out of the limelight. Other people's gazes, responses, and comments make him uncomfortable and interrupt the rhythm of his breathing. He prefers instead to slip away and bask in the weightlessness of the ocean, pouring his heart out to a Romaritime Flower.

He looks indifferent, but in fact it's just that his passion never comes back up for air.

Today, the cathedral was suddenly filled with people, all saying they had troubles they wished to confide in me.

But it turned out that none of them had any problems, and everyone was there to wish me a happy birthday.

I'm so happy! Not only because they remembered my birthday, but because I love seeing the smiles on everyone's faces!

And your smile right now is exceptionally dazzling!

Le monde n'est qu'une scène.
Il vaut mieux rire que pleurer,
car le rire est le propre de l'homme.
Riez de tout cela, ne vous inquiétez pas.
Profitons d'aujourd'hui.

The world is but a stage.
Why cry, when you can laugh instead?
For laughter is humanity's preserve.
Laugh it all off, fret not,
Let's just enjoy the moment.

Since you gave me Padisarahs before, I have something for you today too.

Ta-da! I made you a garland, fancy trying it on? I can also add any other flowers if you'd like me to!

Although most of my time at Zubayr Theater is spent dancing, I also get involved in the costume creation process with everyone else.

After all, us dancers know more than anyone how our costumes can make our dances stand out. Anyway, making it for you was my pleasure!

Dear Travelers,

Our developers are expected to begin performing update maintenance at 2023/08/16 06:00 (UTC+8). Please stay tuned to related game update information.

In Version 4.0, some game files have been adjusted to optimize the gaming experience, meaning that this update will require a large amount of space.

We recommend that you save sufficient space on your device and complete this pre-installation over a Wi-Fi connection.

The pre-installation resource package size for PCs will be between 32.0 – 34.2 GB, and the space required for unzipping will be 64.0 - 68.4 GB. The pre-installation resource package size for mobile devices will be between 8.1 – 10.8 GB (the voice-over files installed will affect the size of the space required for pre-installation).

Regardless of whether you complete pre-installation, any content you download in advance will increase the download speed during the version update.

"He sees and hears everything, as if he had the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox, like some kind of mythical beast. Fighting tooth and nail, he drove away bandits and ruffians like devils with all the auspicious momentum of the suanni."
— A plaque of gratitude received by the Sword and Strongbox Secure Transport Agency from a merchant whose caravan was safely escorted by Gaming

◆ Name: Gaming
◆ Title: Leonine Vanguard
◆ "Sword and Strongbox" Transport Guard
◆ Vision: Pyro
◆ Constellation: Leo Expergiscens

If you happen to hear the sound of drums and gongs as you're walking through the streets of Liyue Harbor, let your ears lead the way. With a bit of luck, you might just be fortunate enough to witness a performance of Gaming's remarkable Wushou Dance.

When he puts on his mask, he shakes his head and blinks like a waking beast. The vast array of emotions he conjures up, the unpredictable twists and turns... Following his every move with rapture, the audience can't help but cheer and applaud.

"Thank you for your support, everyone! And remember, if someone you know's thinking of booking a Wushou Dance, don't forget to recommend the 'Mighty Mythical Beasts'!"

It's just a shame that, more often than not, he receives nothing but applause in return. But Gaming doesn't let this get to him — he laughs it off, saying that the audience's attention is all the recognition he needs.

"Once the crowd has dispersed and his mask is off, Gaming swiftly returns to being a ""guard"" and thinking of work matters once more: How many cargo shipments still need delivering? Which clients does he need to escort? And so on...

Usually, when there's nothing urgent on, he heads to Xinyue Kiosk to while away the time with some dim sum — a pot of tea, a selection of bite-sized nibbles, and leisurely chatter in the company of good friends."

As a guard, the task of escorting goods from Yilong Wharf to Liyue Harbor couldn't be easier for Gaming. But as the head of the "Mighty Mythical Beasts," his dream of making the Wushou Dance a regular occurrence in Liyue Harbor still has a long, long road ahead of it...

So in the meantime, why not sit and enjoy another cup of tea?

"A new resident in the city, you say? Oh, it's Cloud— I mean, Xianyun. Don't be fooled by her usual manner... She's someone you can truly rely on when the going gets tough. If you ever find yourself in trouble, just tell her — I'm sure she'd be willing to help."
— Madame Ping

◆ Name: Xianyun
◆ Title: Passerine Herald
◆ New Resident in Liyue Harbor
◆ Vision: Anemo
◆ Constellation: Grus Serena

---

Everyone has something to say about Xianyun: "That tall woman with the updone hair," "that bespectacled artisan," or perhaps "that talkative new neighbor." They all say different things, but together they paint a picture of the impression she leaves — of someone who's witty, chatty, warm-hearted, and easy to get along with.

But that's not how Xianyun sees herself. In her own eyes, she's inarticulate, reserved, and unyieldingly proud. Aside from her mastery of mechanics and knack for making all kinds of little trinkets, it's an entirely different image from how others would describe her.

Some curious individuals, seeing how her mannerisms and bearing set her apart from ordinary folk, are convinced that she's a heroine — so they go around trying to uncover her heroic backstory and whether she goes by any other names.

Ask the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's consultant, and with a wave of his hand, he'd say: "Xianyun? We're not well acquainted, but going by her name, she sounds like a good person."

Ask Madame Ping from Yujing Terrace, and she'd nod and reply: "Xian... Oh, Xianyun? We've crossed paths, yes... She's a good person, you know. Once you've met, you'll find that your days seem to go by much more smoothly."

Ask Ganyu, and she'd nod too: "She is a heroine, but a very discreet one — hence why she's living incognito in Liyue Harbor."

Ask Shenhe, and she'd respond pensively: "Xianyun... Of course, she's a master. Whatever you do, you must not offend her."

As it turns out, such speculations are not wrong. There's far more to Xianyun than meets the eye, but those who know the full story are few indeed. If someone was to address her as "Cloud Retainer"... Well, people would know her instantly, and you'd hear a torrent of praise flow her way: "Who doesn't know Cloud Retainer? Noble, brave, loyal, and wise... A most worthy friend if ever there was one!"

So try asking Xianyun herself then: "Are you a heroine? Surely you're not... an adeptus?"

You catch the new resident just as she's working on her latest invention, her pride and joy — what she calls an "Exquisite Mini Broth Pot." She's too absorbed to take the question seriously, so she simply waves it off as a load of old nonsense and tells you not to bother her while she's busy.

As for what exactly an Exquisite Mini Broth Pot is... No one really knows, other than having been told that it brings out flavors much better than a regular soup pot. Likewise, none would know how profoundly it might impact Liyue Harbor's future gastronomic development. Suffice to say — if Xianyun says it'll be impressive, it'll be impressive alright.

"Shinobu, you should take the day off and rest! We've got this, don't you worry about it!"

...Though that's what everyone in the gang says, things aren't ever so perfect.

But I know they mean well. I suppose I'll take my mask off and relax for today.

Come on. Let's be quick. Wanna take a walk with me before they find some new trouble to get themselves into?

Although the Spina di Rosula operates efficiently, the results achieved are often proportional to the ruckus caused.

Occasionally, when the scene gets out of control, a Melusine officer would hurriedly step in to intervene by stating "Now, now, everyone, please, don't panic. They're just filming the latest crime movie!"

"Navia, do you remember when I refused the title of 'Baron' bestowed upon me by the Palais Mermonia a few years back? Well, that's beside the point. Today, I finally met the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide. I had always assumed that 'Duke' was simply a hollow title too... But it turns out that Wriothesley is far more worldly than he looks."

"Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide"
— If Wriothesley needed a namecard, this would suffice.

No foreword, and no epilogue. Just like that place of exiled convicts he's in charge of, standing there silently at the bottom of the sea.

Despite its discretion, as a resting place for criminals, the Fortress of Meropide harbors a network of conflicting interests that would have a corrupting influence on many.

But even if someone was bent on infiltrating this place, they'd soon be swallowed up like breadcrumbs in a bowl of soup.

Some have lauded His Grace's aptitude for taking care of thorny problems. Hearing such praise, Wriothesley would simply lower his teacup... and pick up his newspaper.

"You've got the wrong end of the stick. They just wanted somewhere to lead well-ordered lives, and I gave them the 'tranquility' they required."

One lie always follows another, and so "justice" awaits inescapably at the end. The ignorant see this as some kind of farce. But if they trace back to the source, they inevitably realize that they began by deceiving themselves.
— A disordered fable left in someone's dream by Mage "N"

◆ Name: Furina
◆ Title: Endless Solo of Solitude
◆ Regina of All Waters, Kindreds, Peoples and Laws
◆ Gnosis: Hydro
◆ Constellation: Animula Choragi

---

Undoubtedly, Furina has been much loved by the people of Fontaine from the moment she became the Hydro Archon.
Her charismatic parlance, lively wit, and elegant bearing — all bear witness to her godly charms.

But perhaps the thing that she is most revered for is her unrivaled sense of drama.
As the protagonist of a famous play at the Opera Epiclese once put it,
"Life is like the theater — you never can tell when the twist will come."

Furina is as inscrutable as the most cunning of stage characters, her course of action defying all prediction.
In fact it's precisely for this reason that the god of Justice and Judgment, unapproachable in her divine majesty, has such a bewitching influence.

But when the curtain falls, a hollow feeling invariably starts to creep in.
There are those who wonder whether there are moments in the dead of night when even a god like Furina feels the sharp pangs of loneliness.

No, surely not. People couldn't possibly imagine, let alone believe, that such a scene might play out.

And that's indeed the way it should be.

That is, were it not for the fact that Furina's tears had already been silently washed away by the Fountain of Lucine.
