A big problem for me is, that Android is not allowing custom DoT servers. Even though the system supports DoH and is even using it for their built in resolver (Google/cloud flare) Networks that only whitelist TCP 433 (some guest wifis) will fail to use DoT.

Seid der Umstellung ständig ultra langsames Internet in Städten und kein Empfang aufm Land. Fühlt sich an, als ob es bewusst gedrosselt wird in Ballungsräumen, damit jeder zumindest etwas abbekommt.

Warum nicht im Winter 1-2h länger arbeiten und im Sommer dafür 1-2h weniger. So machen das einige spanische Firmen. 6h Tage ohne Pause im Sommer klingt verlockend.

I have Kodi running in a docker container with gui (even HDR support) on my otherwise "headless" server. Kodi just has the most flexibility because of it's plugins.

Dem kann ich mich anschließen, o2 am DT Anschluss war super. Immer zuverlässig und eigene ipv4/6, ohne Datenbegrenzung. Dann bin ich zu Drillisch gewechselt wegen höherer Geschwindigkeit. Das ist immer noch zuverlässig, aber die wollen mit keinesfalls eine IPv4 geben. Auch nicht gegen Bezahlung.

Bei maxxim (drillisch) läuft VDSL über DSLite. Auch auf Anfrage konnte man keine Umstellung auf volles DS vornehmen. (Auch nicht gegen Bezahlung) Am selben Anschluss mit o2 und Telekom gab es volles DS. Ist natürlich nervig, wenn man unterwegs kein ipv6 hat, hat man keinen Zugriff.

Edit: Möglichkeiten trotzdem Zugriff zu haben:

• einen VPS vorschalten
• die Fritzbox ermöglicht über PCP die Freigabe von zufälligen Ports auf der öffentlichen/geteilten IPv4.

An Idea I am also using for other things where I do not want to use a VPN:

1. Setup a reverse proxy (e.g. traefik)
2. Setup an oauth middleware for everything (forward Auth)
3. Create rules to exempt very specific request based on IP, headers, etc... from the middleware.

In the casting use case you have to find a request and check if there is any parameter that you can use to safely whitelist the request. Ofcourse someone could get behind this and fake the request to match the whitelist. But without knowing that there is even a whitelist no one will really try
