Tempo (fork) v3.17.14 android subsonic client

Reply in thread

Hi non_burgler, I am also a tempo user, it was my daily driver for sure.

Yes, I kept going back to check for updates and got into a issue thread someone else starred to get a status update. I have been through a few apps like all of us have and thought it a shame to see this die.

Tried to get access to the repo but the last update was December 2024, so I forked it and started by merging in good looking prs that were pending.

That was a few months ago now and we've been making forward progress since.

I hope to figure out how to update the logo and change the name a bit to get it into app stores again but the graphic stuff is a challenge for me lol.

The base is 3.9, my releases/changes start with 3.10+

Tempus v4.1.3 android subsonic client release

Thanks, got a lot of community effort this time round. The album track list was something we introduced in the last release, 4.1.0, that caused albums to display multi disc tracks all goofy, screenshots -> https://github.com/eddyizm/tempus/issues/234

It was in effort to improve performance and deal with lag/large libraries. We will have to go back and figure it out.

I believe there is a ticket for what you are describing?

Sweet! The app has a lot of small, very annoying bugs. Still my fave, I just got tired of waiting for updates and did not want to see it go by the wayside.

Yup, no commits since Dec 2024, or much of any activity. I opened a discussion but never got a response. I did track him down, (i think its him) on linkedin to ask for repo rights when I first got started but then decided I was a little too stalking and didn't want to invade his space, so figured I just fork it and keep going. My hope is that he is doing well and it looks like he started a small android app biz and it's doing well.

The last release from tempo was Dec 2024. The last commit was I'm Jan 2025 for a grade version bump.

Started with a fork and merged outstanding prs and have been addressing as many bugs that I can as well as adding features.

I loved tempo so I didn't want to let it die, it just needed to keep moving forward.

Tempus v4.6.0 android subsonic client

no worries mate. I was going to mention the same thing about the android status. It is one of my milestones but as you have seen, the app needs work and I am slowly learning the code base as I go through sections at a time.

Just started working through the playlist milestone with this release, will spend some time here and Android Auto has a milestone where I am grouping all the tickets. I will get to it in the near future for sure. Proper Offline milestone might come before it though.

You can create and edit playlists on Tempus (currently working on overhauling this aspect of the app) however it does not have that playlist builder style thing. It can take your created playqueue and save it to a playlist. I've used substreamer in the past but it does not seem , at least on android, to have been updated in over 2 years now.
