I need to work out

Reply in thread

I'm actually only trying to lower body fat, I'm not that interested in getting abs, and yeah time and discipline is right 😭 been going at it for two years now and while I look better than before, I still long for the perfect twink body I had in my early 20s before my damn metabolism betrayed me.

I need to work out

I've mostly just been trying to lose weight, and I know a big part of that is diet, but I feel like that's the part I'm best at. I'm poor as fuck and can barely afford to feed myself, it's like the best form of dieting cuz I can never cheat 😭

it's number of strokes. your goal in golf is to get the ball in the hole in the fewest number of strokes possible. The joke here is that both numbers are embarrassing, considering most holes take like 4 strokes

I'm tired of GTA

I mean, there's not much hype on Lemmy because this place is generally pretty counter-culture, but you'd have to live under a rock to not think GTA 6 is overhyped. From what I've heard, a lot of the gaming industry is trying to duck the fade and either get games out in October or December; Rockstar has scared them off trying to compete with a November release. I think the last time something like that happened was Cyberpunk, which should give you a pretty good idea as to the levels of hype GTA 6 is hitting.

small correction: the credit card companies aren't anything other than fucking cowards. They don't actually give a shit, but there's a bunch of weird Christian fundamentalist groups across the world who have realized they can put pressure on these companies by threatening them with frivolous lawsuits, and the credit card companies have decided it's easier and cheaper for them to placate these lunatics.

The 2000 election in a nutshell

Reply in thread

While the 2000 election was undeniably stolen, it's kinda hard to argue the people voted for Gore. The reason the Supreme Court was able to declare Bush the winner was because the election was close enough to be decided by a single state. Gore only ended up receiving like 50k votes total more than Bush. The meme is still accurate and Americans are still generally idiots.
