Kaytranada (DJ Set) - Elevator Music
Possibly the best mix I've seen where the DJ holds a baby mid set

Figured I would share this in case anyone is in the market for a new GPU.
For the last month or so, every NVIDIA driver released has been incompatible with 4000 series cards (at least when using display port). As soon as any of the last 4 driver releases are installed, the screen goes black, forcing you to boot into safe mode then roll back or uninstall the driver.
The 5000 series cards are very new - it's crazy that the seem to have just stopped supporting 1-2 year old cards so they can focus on their new line. That being said, the new drivers are allegedly not great for the 5000 series either.
TL;DR: Consider AMD, it'll probably work better with Linux anyways :)
I am currently using a legitimate copy of Windows 11, on the latest version. Just started getting this message after the latest update.
Considering I already have Linux and Mac as alternatives, if they actually pull my license they will just lose a lifelong customer. Their business decisions truly boggle the mind...
I have used Spotify for years, in spite of the fact that they pay artists terribly - the reason for this was that out of all the streaming services, they had the largest and most complete weekly playlist of new releases.
Having a new release playlist like this is quite important for DJs (or people who curate popular playlists... or people who just like music). I searched online and found that people have made posts on reddit stating that their new release playlists have also been severely limited.
After going to the Spotify forums, I came upon the bullshit I have linked, in which a Spotify employee tells everyone complaining that the playlist has always been limited to 30 tracks, and if anyone received more it was a temporary glitch (despite people providing evidence of having 200 tracks for 5+ years), or was caused by external factors (??? lol).
Personally I hate it when companies do things like this. I am not sure whether they are trying to get their power users to quit, or if they truly believe that they can get away with lying so blatantly.
I have decided that I will no longer be supporting them. Figured I would share in case anyone needs to make a decision regarding which service to go with.

https://tuning.ableton.com/Open linkView original on lemmy.mlThe new dashboard UI has by far the worst UX I have seen in a gaming product - they removed the ability to customize anything, instead opting to turn the whole home page into an extension of the store. You can no longer have it only show things you own, nevermind things you're interested in.
With this in mind, is there any way to load a different dashboard onto the system using dev mode? I'm seriously considering selling my Xbox and buying a ps5 at this point... I am also morally content pirating every game Microsoft makes from now until I die.
It came as an update, and I installed it without thinking. I did see the size before launching thankfully and uninstalled - how screwed am I?
I've seen a few other terminal emulators floating around different app stores - has anyone tried these, and found that they were actually better than Termux?
Would love to check out any recommendations!
As mentioned above, you don't really need to buy any additional samples. However, if you want some premade drum sounds or need to acquire licensed samples for a project, here are some options.
I'd advise watching videos / researching anything you are thinking about buying, as it is likely that there is something similar that is free.
Note: Many companies consistently go on sale for 50% off or more (iZotope). I'd advise making a list of plugins you want and waiting for a sale - some sites also offer educational discounts. Try asking!
Also, if you buy Waves plugins, you are probably going to will regret it.

Some people swear by finding a tutor you like, and paying for a pre-recorded course or lessons. These can get very expensive (see Berklee classes), but if you find one that seems like a good fit for you, it might be worth it.
These are good... allegedly. Presumably also dated.

These channels may feature some Ableton Live tutorials, but are not primarily focused on them. Some may feature music theory, generalized production advice applicable to any DAW, synthesizers and other interesting hardware, or other music related topics.
