Try being on the apps for a year without a match. Really helps boost the old self esteem.

Canada launches warning labels on each cigarette

Exactly, if you made them illegal you would open up a huge black market while making the products likely more dangerous. This would put further strain on our healthcare system, while decrease funding as the government would no longer be getting taxes on the sale of cigarettes.

If you ask if I use Photoshop or Gimp to make memes, but I use my phone
Why even download an application , check out https://www.photopea.com/ it's like Photoshop but free and browser based. Also IIRC it's made by one super nice dude.

The Grudge
I have a tendency to forget, full stop. I sometimes try to stay mad at someone that's wronged me in some way, but then about an hour later, halfway through a conversation with them, I'll remember I was mad, but at that point I've already been friendly with them so I can't go back to being mad.
Overall, not a terrible trait to have I suppose, but I think it makes it easier for people to take advantage of me sometimes.

At one point they also blocked an ambulance which resulted in a death. Not to mention this was happening during covid lockdown which I'm sure did not help stop the spread.

The world came to a grinding halt
I beleive SO recently switched from fastly to cloudflare, and some of the DNS records are taking time to catch up. If you having the same problem try flushing your DNS cache and the issue should be resolved.

What are some great hobbies for an introvert?
I got into leatherworking during the pandemic and it's been really rewarding. The actual act of cutting and sewing the leather is very zen to me, and in the end you have something new that you can use or give as a gift!
Getting started is fairly cheap (some punches, needles, thread, a sharp knife, and leather is all you really need to get started). I order everything online so no need to interact with people.
Lots of good tutorials online to learn (Carter leather, weaver, are both good YT channels)
I'd anyone is interested in trying it I'd be happy to help get you started 😊

What are some YouTube channels which follow pre-monetisation ethos?
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Cody's Lab. He's been on YouTube for a very long time, never seen him have ads or do sponsors or anything. He also frequently gets screwed over by YouTube due to his content (lots of chemistry) but has always managed to keep making videos.

Reddit protest plunges user engagement, site activity and ad portal visits

They are seeing a decrease in usage since ChatGpt came about. They had implemented a network wide no AI generated answer policy, but after seeing their number declined decided to blame the mods for removing and banning users who were posting AI answers.
They refuse to show any data that supports their claims (that the mods banning users accounts for the decrease in usage), have told mods in private that they can no longer enforce the rule, but still want the rule to be in place.
They have continuously said one thing and done another, slowing eroding moderator and user trust. You can checkout the meta stack overflow site for the entire situation.

To what extend are you grateful for free services?
I am finally getting to the point we're I can start supporting some of the open source stuff I use. Currently only donate to Wikipedia and Kbin, but planning on adding to that list.
