ive got a surface tablet at work running nixos. it mostly is used to view security cameras.

the machine is fairly low spec and bogs itself down after a coupke days, so id like it to auto reboot at 9am. i work a late shift and often don't leave til around 2am.

i guess we don't use cron anymore? i really don't understand how the systemd timers work... the wiki doesnt really give great details...

the systemd target seems to be created, but it reports as dead when i check it...

any advice?

libretube is not working only when im on my openwrt router. if i turn off wifi it works, and if i connect directly to my isp's router, it works. it works from my wifi at work...

what possible settings could be blocking this? i turned off tailscale on the router.. thats really the only thing i can think of..

I've been working on degoogling. i got a fairphone 6 with e/os. its been a great push in the right direction because many google services i previously relied on such as google home dont work.

no worries, ive always wanted to get better with Home Assistant. but devices dont generally advertise if theyre compatable with home assistant. so i got the matter controller for home assistant, great. just arrived yesterday, and tried to add a matter bulb to test it out.

home assistant says i need to be on official android with the home assistant companion app downloaded from the play store, not the fdroid version

long story short: i have a surface tablet with an sd card in it. id like the sd card to hold /nix. i cant seem to rsync without (im guessing the links are expanding) the bigger drive (sdcard) filling up. thank you

I recently got a new NAS and Im trying to import my watched status. the recommended way seems to be via trakt, which I am already using.

The issue is the new jellyfin instance doesnt seem to be importing my trakt watched status. I do have my files organized differently on the new server, if thats the issue.

Anyway, this is keeping me from actually using my new NAS so I'd like to get this solved. Any advice is appreciated
