Is this WD MyBook 6tb drive still good?

The drive has been only been powered on and used for read over the last 3+ years. CrystalDiskInfo reports it's bad but CrystalDiskMark shows decent read/write speeds. Only wrote to it in the very beginning when I dumped a lot of archives into it. Otherwise, very few actual write cycles which is making me think it's still ok to use. However, this isn't a NAS drive and is consumer-grade bought many years ago.

For any gechers interested in modding this community, pls lmk in the comments :)

Don't know much about modding on lemmy so I'd appreciate any help. I'm not a mod on r/gatech or the discord but I've been pretty active there over the past few years. So I thought might as well create a community on here since there's been growing interest in lemmy over the past few weeks.

If anyone has experience in modding in general or knows if there's a better way to appoint mods like with a Forms link with questions then pls lmk in the comments.

What are some underrated or less-known things you could do with a homebrewed 3DS?

I just found out that you could run pico-8 games with fake-08 which is really cool! Other things I've done include using Tiny VNC to stream a desktop and EasyRPG player for RPG Maker 2000/2003. I've also seen someone install linux at one point.

What other cool or underrated things you could do on a homebrewed 3DS besides the usual play 3DS/DS/GBA games for free?

Can I use a spare laptop as secondary screen with an Elgato/HDMI USB capture card?

I know laptops don't have HDMI In ports but I was thinking I can buy an Elgato USB adapter or some HDMI capture card to act as a monitor with OBS.

I've seen videos of ppl recording gameplay using the capture card but is it possible to extend my laptop display as well with the adapter?

Right now I'm using the Windows wireless display feature and it works well but there's still a bit too much latency and it times out whenever I alt+tab windows so I'd prefer a wired solution.
