While I don't have a source for it, afaik only the instance you use knows your ip. The rest just see your post proxied through them

Charging an EV Is Still a Nightmare: The biggest hurdle to mass adoption of electric cars is not the cars themselves.
I wish I could say "My next car will be an EV" but there are still 0 charging stations within 50 miles of me, so I guess I still have to wait
