I don't understand how Thieves' Tools work in this game
It doesn't consume on reroll. It consumes on fail. So you fail, one is used, and it's showing you how many you have left to keep trying.

Where did the abbreviation "w/" for "with" come from?
Writing by hand it's fast, and visually creates a space to answer "with what?"
