Okay, can you think of a reason Russia "only" attacked* Georgia and Ukraine in the recent past and not say Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania?

As a small nation you have two options:

  1. Build alliances and search senior partners
  2. Die

* attacked as in boots on the ground. They engaging in cyber attacks and other forms of physical and online sabotage in many European countries

That is exactly what I say all the time. The US does and did many horrible things, and Russia did and does too. Neither of them are the good guys. Everyone defending invasions of countries is either a troll, brainwashed or a Nazi. Many posts here who defend various Russian invasions would also be top notch Nazi propaganda, saying the the people of other nations actually don't have a right to be their own independent nation or that thy are inferior.

I can understand why local governing is nice. You always feel more involved and represented when you actually know the people in your government. But the European Parliament is elected as well. I would personally support making it more important and taking some authority away from the commission and council. But other than that, I am actually relatively happy with the EU.

It brought many great things with it, especially free trade and free travel. If you are a citizen of any EU country and move to another EU country, you have almost the same rights as a full citizen of that country. I just love that. Crossing a border between EU countries is like crossing a state border. This makes the lives of so many people so much easier. The same applies for the many streamlined regulations.

In addition, I mostly also like the rulings of the EU. I lt often stops harmful laws from passing (especially things like censorship). Sadly, some countries just ignore EU law without much consequences, which has to be stopped in my opinion.

In some way, I think the EU actually gives some more power to the people. If you imagine Austria passing a low, the world may ignore that. But if the EU passes a law, it is important and the US or China must pay attention.

And I don't really know what you are talking about gun control here. I would never support wide spread gun ownership, since I personally really hate terrorism and enjoy the low gun violence rates. It obviously happens, but much less than in the US.

Okay, even if the Soviet Union still existed if NATO did not form, how would that be a good thing? You know they conquered the countries like Poland? They actively fought for their freedom. And even today you can see that Russia tires to expand its sphere of influence using force and violence. They are an oppressor, not an ally.

Everyone is thinking it!

Okay, okay. Hear me out. I don't know what exactly you mean by "death to [country]". If you mean that the government should change, if necessary by force I would at last kind of agree since I also really dislike and disagree with the governments of these countries and they do seem pretty hostile. BUT it sounds more kill every person in that country. And I would very strongly disagree with that. There are terrible people in every country and there are also nice people in every county. And if for example every Republican voter in the US was a racist and rapist that would not justify killing the other ~60% of the country. At least how you put it in this meme just spreads hate. We the people should focus on improving the world and working together, maybe hating our governments but definitely not hating each other because of our governments. In the end, that is exactly their goal. If we focus on hating each other, we will not peruse the more important goals.

Funny that you tie that to the skin color of the people. Most people including me make the distinction based on the following criteria:

  1. Does the government have direct control over the broadcast?
  2. Is the channel allowed to criticize the government?
  3. Is founding decided by the government?
  4. Are you at risk for not having the same stance on a topic than the government?

In the case of Germany, all of these are not true. In the case of authoritarian regimes, they are. That is the key difference.
