QUESTION: Does a table top really Need biscuits/dominoes/dowels, or is glue enough?

2x4s, mdf top, pocket-hole screws, (some pocket-holed and some counterbored).
Saw it on the Kreg site and mostly followed the plan. All 2x4s with pocket holes.
