Let's try it again: This post from #Mastodon can reach the whole #Fediverse, #Bluesky & more. That's #Sharkey, #Pixefeld (hence the pic), #Mbin, #Lemmy, #Friendica, #Hometown, #Akkoma... How far can
@mho @fediverse noice ! I was thinking about creating something similar, but it's seems that I'm a bit to late. If we want to counter Meta and offer decent EU social media, agnostic broadcast protocols are a key element.

Willpower, Not Manpower, is Europe’s Main Limitation for a Force in Ukraine
@misk #Zelenski felt wat the rest of Europe has been facing for decades and why we turned towards Russia for energy, extortion repackaged as protection. #Ukraine has to make a full u-turn towards Europe and cut ties with the the US and we'll probably be there in no time. But of course our leaders don't want to take a risk for a country that still seeks to be allied with a totalitarian regime in the process of declaring war upon the EU. If they sell out to to the US those minerals will be used to weaken the EU economy and take us back to a Berlin wall situation. Singing a deal with the current USA is a sure way for Ukraine to become a sovjet state again absurd as it is. I think Zelenski still is in in cognitive dissonance and believes the US will become a democracy again, a lot of Americans believe the same. But voting is fixed folks, even without Trump there will be a regime.

@ExFed Lol, I messaged 20+ connections to step over...nobody. We have a saying "what the farmer doesn't know, the farmer doesn't like" I fear signal has to be mentioned a thousand times from all directions before they "trust" it. The publics trust is based on repetition and the concept that a big firm has more to lose than an non profit.

Can we please make a viable (federated!) amazon alternative? I have an idea!
@haui_lemmy I had a mostly similar idea a few weeks ago but I'm a mess ( sleep issues ) so no coding for me. 😂
But yes, as I mentioned somewhere extending activitypub could be a start.

@haui_lemmy Flomarket is more like a separate shops, you need a protocol, and gui's that are easy to embed via EU made web frameworks like drupal. ( React to be avoided as it's from meta ) That way you see the shop on the individual site but also can create aggregators that look like ebay or ammazon but are federated.
